LOUISVILLE, Ky. (April 19, 2022)  – Junior Connor Feulner of the Stevens Institute of Technology men's volleyball team was named an NVA Second Team All-American by the American Volleyball Coaches Association, the organization announced Tuesday.

It is the first career national recognition for the Orlando, Florida native, who is the first Stevens middle to earn the prestigious honor since Thomas Burrell received the accolade for the second time in 2018. It is the 27th All-America honor for the men's volleyball program since 2007 and the first under second-year head coach Dan Buehring

"Connor has worked very hard to overcome a lot of challenges in the past year with great perseverance, grit and determination," Buehring said. "It is so nice to see him earn this recognition after all his extraordinary efforts."

Feulner, a First Team All-Middle Atlantic Conference (MAC) selection and a first-team All-Region selection, currently leads the country in blocks with 1.217 per match. The third-year middle has also displayed a strong offensive game as well, hitting .453 (171-37-296) to help Stevens rank eighth in the country in hitting percentage. Feulner has rejected at least one attack in 23 of his 29 matches, including a career-high 10 in the Ducks' NCAA quarterfinal victory over St. Joseph's College (L.I.). All totaled, Feulner has totaled 171 kills, 112 blocks, 19 aces, 46 digs and six assists. He totaled five or more blocks in 13 matches and did not make more than three attack errors in any match.

Feulner was one of two representatives from MAC, along with Messiah's Mason Nissley. The Falcons' Matt Knab received an honorable mention.

The awards are in their 19th season of existence.
