DALLAS, Pa., (April 23, 2022) – The Stevens Institute of Technology women's tennis team extended their win streak to five on Saturday, April 23. They swept Misericordia on the road by score of 6-3 to improve to 7-4 overall and 5-0 in MAC Freedom play.
 
The Ducks won two out of three doubles matches and then won four singles matches. All four wins came in straight sets.
 
Senior Alexis Fuda and first-year Isabella Dona won 8-1 at second singles and then junior Juliette Marchisio and sophomore Polina Odintseva earned a 8-1 win from the third spot.
 
Singles was hard-fought, but the Ducks battled to earn four wins. Junior Audrey Heaberlin (6-4, 6-1) and Fuda (6-4, 6-1) won from the second and third positions, respectively. Dona won 6-0, 6-3 at fifth singles and then the fourth victory came from first-year Emma Eguia who won 6-1, 6-0 from the sixth spot.
 
Up Next: Stevens returns to the courts on Tuesday, April 26. They take on Wilkes in a conference matchup at home. The match is set to start at 12:30 p.m. on the Stevens Tennis Courts.
