HOBOKEN, N.J. (April 9, 2022) – The Stevens Institute of Technology men's tennis team defeated Wilkes by a score of 9-0 in a MAC Freedom matchup at the Stevens Tennis Courts. The Ducks remain undefeated against the Colonels all-time.

Stevens improved to 6-4 overall and 3-0 in conference play with the win. Wilkes fell to 5-5 overall and 1-1 in conference play.

The Ducks swept all three doubles matches to take an early 3-0 lead. Senior
Marc Feliu and first-year
Troy Zhang won 8-2 in the first position, sophomore
Aashi Kulakarni and first-year
Sebastian Wroe won 8-0 in the second spot and graduate student
Mark Pabalan and senior
Eloi Pradier won 8-3 at third.

Stevens continued their success at singles, winning all six matches. First-year
Olof Persson opened singles play with a 6-4, 6-3 victory from the sixth position. Sophomore
Andrew He (8-0) and sophomore
Vivek Harinarayan (8-1) followed that up with victories at fourth and first singles, respectively.

To close out the match, junior
Philip Szkudlarski earned an 8-1 win at the fourth spot, Pradier won 8-1 at the fifth position and Feliu picked up the final win of the day at second singles by a score of 8-4. Five of the six singles flights were played under pro-scoring rules.

Up Next: The Ducks are back in action, Wednesday, April 13. They travel to Center Valley, Pennsylvania for a conference matchup against DeSales at 3:30 p.m.
