HOBOKEN, N.J. (January 6, 2023)  – The Stevens Institute of Technology baseball team announced its 2023 competition schedule Friday. The slate features 40 scheduled contests, including a set of games at the Snowbird Baseball Classic in Port Charlotte, Florida. The Ducks will play 23 games at Dobbelaar Field, where the Ducks are 136-62 under 12th-year head coach Kristaps Aldins.

The season gets underway on Feb. 12 when the Ducks host City College for a doubleheader. The Ducks have won three of the last four meetings with the Beavers and in an interesting scheduling twist, each of the last 10 meetings between the teams have been in Hoboken. Consecutive three-game series with William Paterson (Feb. 18-19) and Rutgers-Newark (Feb. 24-25) follow, before the Ducks welcome Montclair State to campus on Mar. 3 as part of a five-game homestand.

Formerly opponents in the City of New York Athletic Conference, Lehman College comes to campus for a twinbill on Mar. 4, representing the first meeting between the programs since 2014 and the first meetings in Hoboken since 2013.

MAC Freedom play opens on Mar. 11 when the Ducks and Arcadia play three games as part of the Snowbird Baseball Classic during Spring Break. The Ducks' other matchups during the event will be announced at a later date.

A three-game series with King's (Mar. 18-19) kicks off the second half of the year, before the Ducks welcome the College of Mount Saint Vincent to campus on Mar. 22 for a midweek non-conference tilt. A three-game slate with Delaware Valley (Mar. 24-25) leads the Ducks into the series opener with FDU-Florham on Mar. 24. The Ducks head to Widener on Mar. 31 for a first-time meeting with the Pride.

The calendar turns to April as the Ducks continue conference play, first closing out the series with FDU-Florham on Apr. 4 before hosting Misericordia for a doubleheader on Apr. 6, with the series concluding in Bristol, Connecitcut on Apr. 12 for a special charity game to honor a former Cougar that was wounded in the line of duty, while serving as a police officer in Bristol. Conference play wraps up with a series with Wilkes (Apr. 14-15), Lycoming (Apr. 22-23) and DeSales (Apr. 28-29). Matchups with Immaculata (Apr. 18) and New Jersey City University (Apr. 25) at Dobbelaar Field round out the non-conference action.

Postseason play begins on May 2 with a possible play-in game. Following the semifinal series on May 5-6, a conference champion will be crowned during the championship series May 12-13.
