Hoboken, N.J. – Dobbelaar Field at the DeBaun Athletic Complex, home of the Stevens Institute of Technology baseball team, received multiple technological upgrades this summer with the addition of Trackman and AWRE systems.

Trackman's core tracking technology combines high-resolution short- and long-range radar with synchronized high-speed cameras to measure the complete flight path of pitches, batted balls and catcher throws from release to landing. Available through the portable Trackman B1 practice unit or the permanent in-stadium V3 system, the technology captures pitching metrics such as release height, release side, extension, induced vertical and horizontal break, spin rate, spin axis, tilt and active spin efficiency. Pitchers can also tag and compare different grips and pitch profiles during live sessions.

For hitters, TrackMan records exit velocity, launch angle, launch direction and total distance while calculating contact depth, side and height to help map plate coverage. The system can connect to as many as three iPhones or external cameras through Wi-Fi, automatically triggering synchronized video at pitch release or bat contact. Its accompanying software also provides postgame data validation, zone scatter plots and customizable hitting and pitching reports.

The baseball team will utilize the permanent V3 Stadium system and portable B1 unit, while the Stevens softball team will also have access to a portable B1 unit.

AWRE's video and streaming platform uses multiple camera angles through the AWRE AIR system to capture every play during games and practices. The platform provides automated livestreaming and on-demand video through customizable team AWRE TV channels, while AWRE Replay delivers instant video in under a second with slow-motion, zoom and multi-angle timeline-scrubbing capabilities for coaches and officials. AWRE Charting offers real-time, pitch-by-pitch scoring, lineup management and practice tracking designed to support advanced baseball analytics.
AWRE Canvas allows coaches to draw, telestrate and analyze game film without file-export delays, while AWRE Maddux serves as an artificial intelligence assistant that answers questions, creates customized clip playlists and generates automated scouting notes. The platform also integrates with third-party data and training systems, including TrackMan, 6-4-3 Charts and WIN Reality's SwingAI biomechanics technology.
