WILKES-BARRE, Pa. (October 18, 2023) - Junior Luca Campbell scored the winning goal in the final seconds as the Stevens Institute of Technology men's soccer team defeated King's College (Pa.) 3-2 Wednesday night in a MAC Freedom contest.

The Ducks (7-2-4, 3-0-1 MAC Freedom) remain unbeaten in conference play. Stevens has now won four out of their last five matches and is 4-1 against King's all-time. The Monarchs (5-7-1, 1-2-1 MAC Freedom) are now on a three-game losing streak.

It took just four minutes for Stevens to jump on the board as King's scored an own goal. In the 25th minute, the Ducks doubled their advantage as junior Emerico Vespucci found the back of the net on an assist from graduate Bruno Andino. Stevens continued to have the better of the chances for the rest of the half, but were unable to build on their lead as they took a 2-0 lead into the break.

Coming out of the break, King's scored five minutes in as the Ducks gave away a penalty kick to cut the deficit to one. The Monarchs then found the equalizer in the 67th minute. With both teams pushing for the winning goal down the stretch, it was Campbell who was able to score an unassisted goal with just 33 seconds on the clock to give Stevens the lead and seal the victory.
