HOBOKEN, N.J. (October 24, 2023) – Sophomore Vivian Lisboa had 11 kills and four blocks, while junior Cleo Shannon added another 11 kills as the Stevens Institute of Technology women's volleyball team defeated Arcadia University 3-1 (19-25, 25-10, 25-10, 25-14) Tuesday night in a MAC Freedom contest at Canavan Arena.
The Ducks (16-7, 6-0 MAC Freedom) see themselves clinch a playoff spot in the MAC Freedom postseason tournament. Not only did they clinch a spot, but they will be the #1 seed, meaning they will be home for the duration of the MAC Freedom tournament. Since joining the MAC Freedom in 2019, the Ducks have won the conference championship each season and have never been lower than the #2 seed in the tournament. Stevens has just one more conference match remaining. Arcadia (10-16, 3-3 MAC Freedom) sees their four-match winning streak come to an end. The Knights sit fifth in the MAC Freedom. Only the top four seeds qualify for the postseason.
