ANNVILLE, Pa. (April 19, 2023) – Ahead of this weekend's conference championship event, the MAC Freedom released its pre-championship coaches' poll Tuesday and the Stevens Institute of Technology golf team was picked first. The poll was conducted among the league's nine head coaches.

The Ducks received first-place votes from all eight opposing head coaches to total 64 points earn the pre-championship favorite designation. Arcadia checked in at number two after totaling 56 points, with Misericordia and Wilkes each amassing 37 points to tie for third. Delaware Valley collected 34 points to round out the top-five.

Stevens will enter the two-day event as the two-time defending champions with an average winning margin of 36 strokes. The Ducks have won five of the MAC Freedom's individual awards, including a pair of Golfer of the Year accolades. 

Wilkes University will serve as the hosting institution for the event, which will be contested at the Huntsville Golf Club in Dallas, Pennsylvania. 

The championship will tee off on Saturday, Apr. 22, with competition getting underway at 11:00 a.m.
