HOBOKEN, N.J. (January 17, 2024)  – The Stevens Institute of Technology baseball team announced its 2024 competition schedule Wednesday. The slate features 40 scheduled contests, including five games in the Sunshine State - two in Fort Pierce and three games at the Snowbird Baseball Classic in Port Charlotte. The Ducks will also play 20 games at Dobbelaar Field, where the Ducks are 152-68 under 13th-year head coach Kristaps Aldins. The slate also features 11 games against teams that participated in the 2023 NCAA DIII Championship.

The season gets underway on Feb. 11 when the Ducks host The City College of New York for a doubleheader. The Ducks have won the last five contests against CCNY. A three-game series with William Paterson follows Feb. 17-18, before the Ducks host Dickinson (Feb. 25) and Rutgers-Newark (Mar. 1) at Dobbelaar Field. The doubleheader with the Red Devils marks the first meeting between the sides in Hoboken. The Ducks head to Newark to close out the series with the Scarlet Raiders on Mar. 2). Stevens then hosts MIT (first meeting in Hoboken since 2016) one day later for a single game before a Wednesday afternoon tilt with Montclair State (Mar. 6) sends the team into the
Florida spring break trip.

MAC Freedom play opens on Mar. 9 in Florida, when the Ducks face Lebanon Valley in a doubleheader for the first ever conference games between the teams. The Ducks will then head to Port Charlotte to face Denison, North Central, and the U.S. Merchant Marine Academy as part of the Snowbird Baseball Classic from Mar. 11-13. Stevens then returns home to finish the series against Lebanon Valley on Mar. 16, before heading down Route 3 to close the series with Montclair State one day later.

A three-game league series with King's (Mar. 21-22) kicks off the second half of the year. before a three-game slate with Delaware Valley (Mar. 29-30) closes out the March slate.

The Ducks kick off April with a standalone non-conference game against SUNY Old Westbury on Apr. 2 before an important MAC Freedom series with Arcadia begins three days later. The Ducks will be squaring off against former Associate Head Coach Charles Thielemann, who took the head coaching position at Arcadia over the summer.

The Ducks will take a couple of days off before kicking off a three-game series against DeSales on Apr. 12. Mount Saint Vincent comes to campus for the annual meeting on April 16 - the game will be a reunion for sorts for newly hired assistant coach Ross Bartziokas, who will be facing his former club, and alma mater, for the first time. Stevens will then face the only other New Jersey school in the MAC Freedom, FDU-Florham, for a three-game series (Apr. 19-20) before NJCU comes to town on Apr. 23. The Ducks close conference play with a series against Misericordia (Apr. 26-27) and the regular season concludes with a road contest at NCAA qualifier St. Joseph's (L.I.) on Apr. 30.

Postseason play begins with the semifinal series on May 3-4, and a conference champion will be crowned during the championship series one week later. The higher seeds will be the host site for each series.
