New York, N.Y. – The Stevens Institute of Technology women's swim team opened up competition at the NYU Fall Invitational on Friday.
HOW IT HAPPENED
The Ducks took fifth in the opening 200-freestyle relay as the group of
Hanna Matheson,
Kai Wong,
Rachel Merrifield, and
Kylie Martinez clocked in at 1:46.68. Martinez tallied three points in the 500-free relay as she tallied a mark of 5:35.09, as
Emery Fitzharris (5:42.04) and
Megan Koek (5:42.31) also tallied points.
Matheson took ninth in the 200-IM (2:17.21) as Wong nabbed a seventh-place time of 25.37 in the 50-freestyle. The Ducks closed out the day's opening session in the 400-medley relay, as Wong, Fitzharris, Matheson, and Martinez touched the wall in 4:18.13.
