FREDERICKSBURG, Va. (February 25, 2024) – The Stevens Institute of Technology men's tennis team fell to No. 23 Kenyon 7-2 Sunday on day two of the Mary Washington Invitational.
The Ducs leave Virginia 1-2, as they took down Shenandoah 7-2 yesterday, while also losing to No. 37 Mary Washington 7-2.
On the singles side, senior Andrew He and junior Olof Persson picked up a three-set win. He won the first and third sets on the third line, while Persson won the second and third on line six. Sophomore Max-William Kanz and first-year Andhare Samvid each lost in three sets.
The Ducks got swept in doubles. Persson and senior Aashi Kulakarni forced a tiebreak in their match on line one, but lost 11-9 in that tiebreak.
With the loss, Stevens is now 0-7 all-time against Kenyon. Every matchup between the teams has been at a neutral site.
