GLENSIDE, Pa. (March 15, 2024) – Junior Koby Sherman recorded nine kills while graduate student Connor Feulner had eight as the No. 2 Stevens Institute of Technology men's volleyball beat Arcadia 3-0 (25-16, 25-8, 25-19) Friday night.
Once again, graduate student Louden Moran filled the stat sheet for Stevens. He totaled 27 assists while adding 11 digs, three blocks, and three kills. It is just his second double-double of the year. Sherman also added five blocks and two digs.
Stevens hit .443 for the match, including a season best .824 in the second set. The Knights hit -.011 in the match.
Stevens (22-1, 2-0 MAC) sees their winning streak rise to 20-straight games with the victory. The Ducks are now 10-0 all-time against Arcadia. Stevens improves to 7-0 in true road games this season. The Knights fell to 13-8 (2-1 MAC) with the loss.
The Rundown
- After the Knights scored the first point of the day, Stevens rattled off seven-straight to take a six point lead. Graduate student Nathan Lancia, sophomore Tyler Hoke, and Moran each had kills on the run, while Feulner tallied an ace. After two quick points from the Knights, Stevens took five of the next six, with Sherman earning two kills and Lanca another, as the Ducks led 12-4. Leading just 14-11 now, Feulner and Lancia recorded back-to-back kills to give momentum back to the visitors. They would later clinch the set by taking the final four points as they edged out Arcadia in the first set.
- Stevens blew out Arcadia in the second set to take a 2-0 match lead. The Ducks scored seven of the first ten to take a 7-3 lead in the frame. They then rattled off the next seven points to go up 14-3. Sherman and graduate student Percy Bickford each had one kill. Arcadia scored the next point, but Stevens responded with three straight, as Sherman produced an ace and a kill to go along with a kill from Bickford. Leading 17-5, Feulner tallied back-to-back aces for the Ducks. First-year Joshua Levandoske would tack on two kills down the stretch, while Sherman, Moran, and Feulner each added one, as Stevens won in commanding fashion, 25-8.
- Facing the quick 3-0 sweep, the Knights maintained a 5-3 lead early on in the third. Later leading 9-8, they gave up a 5-0 run to the Ducks and would never lead again in the set. Hoke, Bickford, and Feulner each put down kills on the run. Arcadia would score the next three to get back to within one, but Stevens took the next three after that, as Lancia had two kills while Hoke added another. The Ducks would score six of the final seven points in the match as they made quick work of the Knights for the victory.

- Feulner finished the match with a hitting percentage of .583 on just 12 attacks. He also had three blocks and two aces.
- Hoke matched Sherman with five blocks.
