LANCASTER, Pa. (March 23, 2023) – First-year Alix Dry picked up two wins as the Stevens Institute of Technology women's tennis team fell to Franklin & Marshall 6-3 in a non-conference match Saturday.
The Ducks have now lost two-straight matches as their record now reads 3-4. The Diplomats improve to 2-7. The Ducks are now 0-2 all-time against Franklin & Marshall.
Two of the Ducks' three wins came on doubles. Sophomore Stephanie Untermeyer returned to the lineup and picked up a win with Dry, while senior Polina Odintseva and first-year Lorena Piegas won on line two. The Ducks were up 2-1 after doubles.
Despite the strong start on doubles, Franklin & Marshall took five of the six singles matches to take the match. Dry won the singles match for the Ducks, while Untermeyer lost in three sets.
