GETTYSBURG, Pa. (March 24, 2023) – First-year Alix Dry once again picked up two wins for the Ducks as the Stevens Institute of Technology women's tennis team fell to Gettysburg 6-3 in a non-conference match Saturday.
The Ducks have now lost three-straight matches as they fall to 3-5. The Bullets improved to 6-2. The Ducks are now 0-1 all-time against Gettysburg. Stevens has one more non-conference match before their opening MAC Freedom match.
Stevens picked up just one win on doubles, with the victory coming on the second line. Dry and fellow first-year Julianna Gomez won 7-4 in a tiebreak to take their match 8-7.
Dry kept the momentum going as she picked up a singles win, finishing 4-0 on the weekend. She won in two sets on line one. Stevens picked up one more singles victory to round out the day, as sophomore Fionna Flores won easily on the sixth line.
