BAYONNE, N.J. (April 13, 2024) – Junior Vivek Harinarayan clinched the winning point on singles for the Ducks as the No. 50 Stevens Institute of Technology men's tennis team defeated Lebanon Valley 9-0 Saturday afternoon in a MAC Freedom match.

Stevens took care of business on the doubles side as they swept the Dutchmen. Senior Aashi Kulakarni and junior Vivek Harinarayan shut out their opponents on the second line, as the two earned an 8-0 victory. Sophomore Max-William Kanz and first-year Samvid Andhare also had a huge margin of victory, as they took an 8-1 victory on the third line.

The Ducks continued their domination in singles as they won each match in two sets. The most games any opponent won in a given set was two. Kanz earned a 6-0, 6-1 victory on the second line, while Andhare picked up a 6-1, 6-0 victory on the fourth. It was the biggest singles margin of victory of the season for Andhare.

Stevens (7-5) has now won three-straight matches. The Ducks have swept both MAC Freedom opponents they have played so far this year, as they beat Misericordia 9-0 last weekend. Since joining the MAC Freedom, Stevens has never lost a regular season match. With the win, Stevens improves to 1-0 all-time against the Dutchmen. Lebanon Valley drops to 8-4 and 2-1 in MAC Freedom play with the loss.
