CENTER VALLEY, Pa. (April 20, 2024) – Senior Andrew He, sophomore Max-William Kanz, and first-year Samvid Andhare each won two matches as the No. 42 Stevens Institute of Technology men's tennis team defeated DeSales 8-1 Saturday afternoon in a MAC Freedom match.

The Ducks took an early 3-0 lead after the doubles matches. The Ducks dropped just one game across the three matches. Kanz and Andhare blanked their opponents on the second line, while He and junior Vivek Harinarayan did the same on the third line.

Already with a big lead, Stevens took care of business on the singles side as they took five of the six matches. Kanz and first-year Johnny Haase each won 6-0, 6-0 on the first and sixth lines respectively, while Andhare dropped just one game in the second set in his match.

Stevens (9-5) has now won five-straight matches. The one dropped match marks the first dropped match in conference play of the season for the Ducks.. Since joining the MAC Freedom, Stevens has never lost a regular season match. With the win, Stevens improves to 6-0 all-time against the Bulldogs. DeSales drops to 8-4 and 3-1 in MAC Freedom play with the loss.
