WILKES-BARRE, Pa. (April 27, 2024) – The Stevens Institute of Technology men's tennis team wrapped up the number one seed in the MAC Freedom playoffs after defeating King's 9-0 Saturday afternoon in a MAC Freedom match.

The Ducks took an early 3-0 lead after the doubles matches. Stevens got a shut out from first-year Tristan Wroe and junior Olof Persson on the third line, while junior Sebastian Wroe and sophomore Max-William Kanz earned an 8-1 victory on line two.

Already with a big lead, Stevens took care of business on the singles side as they took all six of the matches in straight sets. Tristan Wroe, first-year Johnny Haase, and Kanz each won 6-0, 6-0 in their respective matches. Sebastian Wroe and first-year Samvid Andhare each only dropped one game.

With the win, Stevens finishes the regular season 11-6 and 6-0 in MAC Freedom play. The Ducks will be the #1 seed in the MAC Freedom tournament, and have been the #1 seed every year since joining the conference. Also since joining the MAC Freedom, Stevens has never lost a regular season match. With the win, Stevens improves to 5-0 all-time against the Monarchs, shutting out the Monarchs in each match. King's drops to 5-9 and 2-4 in MAC Freedom play with the loss.
