Delaware, Ohio. – The RV Stevens Institute of Technology men's soccer team was tripped up by No. 23 Ohio Wesleyan University 1-0 in non-conference play Sunday afternoon.

Aiden Wightman scored the lone goal of the game for Ohio Wesleyan (2-0-0) in the 88th minute.

HOW IT HAPPENED
The hosts notched the first two shots of the afternoon, as Guillermo Castaneda-Chang had to make his first save in the 14th minute. Tries by Luca Campbell and Emerico Vespucci were off frame midway through the period, as Castaneda-Chang kept the game scoreless with a denial in the 30th minute. The two sides traded shots on goal late in the first half, with Ben Goldberg putting Stevens' first shot on target in the 42nd minute.

The two teams were even with five shots each over the first half, while each had one corner kick.

The Duck defense prevented chances early in the second half, blocking two shots before they reached Castaneda-Chang. Stevens had an attempt to snap the scoreless affair in the 63rd minute, as a header by Goldberg off an Adam Berrocal corner kick went just wide.

Sam Whitman denied Omar Martinez in the 80th minute before Berrocal and Martinez could not find the back of the net shortly after. The Battling Bishops broke through with 2:44 left in the game, as Wightman took a pass from the right side and fired, beating Castaneda-Chang. The Ducks hunted for the tying marker, but Maund's final shot with two seconds left was stopped.
