Union, N.J. – The Stevens Institute of Technology men's soccer team battled in-state rival Kean University to a 0-0 draw on Saturday afternoon.
Goalkeeper
Guillermo Castaneda-Chang made three saves for Stevens (2-2-3), as Dominic Ridge had one stop for Kean (2-4-2).
HOW IT HAPPENED
Castaneda-Chang was pressed into action in the first half, making stops in the 17th and 25th minute. The Ducks had their best chance in the 37th minute, as Ridge stopped
Matthew Murillo. The battle was primarily contested in the midfield, with the two sides combining for just nine shots, with three on frame. Castaneda-Chang turned away both chances he saw in the opening 45 minutes.
The Cougars had two shots in the opening nine minutes of the second half, with neither going on target. The Ducks lone attempt came in the 62nd minute, with
Brian Babovic rifling a shot high over the goal. Neither team was able to get a shot on goal after the 64th minute, as Stevens mustered one shot in the final period.
