Stevens began the second quarter with a 12-2 run to open up a 16-point lead. The Stevens defense, meanwhile, limited FDU to one field goal over the 5:48 of the second. During the run, Loffredo added four points, with Audrey Kehoe, Olivia Schubiger, Leyla Castro, and Fiona O'Boyle chipping in markers. FDU ended the opening with the final basket but trailed 35-21 entering the third period.

In the third stanza, the Devils mounted a comeback, notching the first seven points before Castro hit a three-pointer at the 7:29 mark to halt the run. A Schubiger jumper brought the score back to 10 at 44-34 before FDU used a 10-4 rally to make it a two-possession game. Loffredo netted the last three points of the third quarter, sending the Ducks into the fourth with a 51-44 lead.

FDU registered eight of the first 10 tallies of the fourth quarter, holding Stevens to two points over the first 3:33 while trimming the gap to one. Kehoe hit a layup to put Stevens up three before the home side recorded their first lead of the afternoon on a Shannon Tighe three-pointer. A Tighe free-throw made it 60-57 with 2:33 left, and Kehoe put back a Loffredo miss with 1:47 to go to make it 60-59 FDU. The Ducks had multiple chances for the lead but were unable to convert.
