NEW ORLEANS, La. – For the 13
th time since 2011, the Stevens Institute of Technology women's cross country program was named a United States Track and Field and Cross Country Coaches Association (USTFCCCA) All-Academic Team, as announced by the association Thursday.
The Ducks posted a team grade-point average of 3.691, just missing out on the top 50 of all Division III women's cross country programs. In order to qualify for All-Academic distinction, teams must have a cumulative GPA of at least 3.1 on a 4.0 scale, including the most recent grading period. The Ducks were one of 198 DIII women's teams to receive the award.
Additionally, sophomore
Kaitlyn Adams, graduate student
Fionna Feerick, and first-year
Isabella Gabay all earned individual All-Academic recognition. In order to qualify for All-Academic distinction, student-athletes must have a cumulative GPA of at least 3.3 on a 4.0 scale and finish in the top-25 percent of their respective regional championship meet.
