Nominations Being Accepted for Stevens Athletics Hall of Fame Class of 2026

Hoboken, N.J. – The Stevens Institute of Technology Department of Athletics announced Monday that nominations are currently being accepted for the Stevens Athletic Hall of Fame.

The ceremony to induct what will be the 34th induction class be announced during Alumni Weekend in June and honored during the Hall of Fame Induction Ceremony in October 26. Nominators are encouraged to please provide as much supporting documentation (pertinent articles, copies of award recognitions, rankings of team/individual records, etc.) with their submission(s) for the Hall of Fame Committee to properly review, verify and consider the nomination.

To be eligible, an inductee must satisfy the qualifications in one of the following three sections:

Student-Athlete: An inductee may be a former Stevens student-athlete who has performed with excellence and lettered in a varsity or intercollegiate sport and whose athletic eligibility has expired at least ten (10) years prior to nomination. The inductee must have brought significant distinction to themselves and to Stevens because of successful athletic endeavors. The inductee must have been a dedicated individual who demonstrates high qualities of character and leadership and graduated from Stevens. The inductee may be living or deceased. Desirable qualifications would include:
  • All-America recognition, any team, including Honorable Mention
  • All-Conference selection
  • NCAA record holder
  • National Champion or any top-10 individual finish at the NCAA Championship
  • Conference record holder
  • Conference Player or Athlete of the Year
  • Listed in the top 10 of a NCAA-recognized statistical category in a Stevens sport
  • Stevens record holder
  • Tournament Most Valuable (or Outstanding) Player
  • Academic All-American or Elite 90 (or similar) Award winner
  • Academic All-District honoree or Conference Academic Award recipient
  • Department Award Winner (Gear & Triangle, Davis, etc.)
Team: Stevens teams that have distinguished themselves both on and off the field during a specific season may be an inductee.  At least ten (10) years must have passed since the season under consideration.  Desirable qualifications would include:
  • National Champion
  • Inaugural team at Stevens in their respective sport
  • Conference Champion
  • Noteworthy or outstanding accomplishments in intercollegiate competition
Coach or Athletic Administrator: An inductee may be a former Stevens coach who successfully distinguished themselves by demonstrating exceptional leadership, character, and expertise in his/her sport. An inductee may also be a former Stevens athletic department administrator who successfully distinguished themselves by demonstrating exceptional leadership and character. Desirable qualifications would include:
  • Noteworthy or outstanding contributions to the Stevens Institute of Technology Department of Athletics
  • Must have completed at least ten (10) years of service
  • Must not be an active member of the department
An announcement will be made once the selection process has been completed.
