Hoboken, N.J. (October 25, 2025) – The Stevens Institute of Technology women's swimming team fell to Kean University 166-96 on Friday evening.
HOW IT HAPPENED
Stevens opened the night with a runner-up finish in the 200-medley relay, as the quartet of
Natalia Brunetti,
Adriana Bertolotti,
Samantha Gallo, and
Delaney Klaus touched second in 1:53.07.
Paige Bleckley,
Ashley Settle,
Hanna Matheson, and
Eszter Kiss finished fourth in 1:56.87, while
Emery Fitzharris, Allie Halverson,
Anjali Gupta, and
Hailey Gillett placed fifth in 2:04.21.
Kiss earned Stevens' first individual victory of the night with a 1:58.92 in the 200 freestyle, pacing the field from the opening split. She added a second-place finish in the 200 breaststroke at 2:35.28 and later anchored the 400 freestyle relay to a runner-up finish in 3:46.24 alongside Brunetti, Gallo, and Klaus.
Dora Dvorkin led Stevens' distance group with a 11:05.07 to finish second in the 1,000 freestyle, while
Gabby Tyer (11:33.83) and Abby Rosingana (11:40.67) rounded out the top five.
Matheson collected a win in the 200 butterfly with a 2:14.56, edging Kean's Sydney Stemley by just one-tenth of a second. Brunetti followed in third (2:17.56), and Gallo took fifth (2:22.39). Klaus continued her strong start to the season with a second-place finish in the 50 freestyle (25.10) and third in the 100 freestyle (56.25), while Koek (58.49) and Settle (58.67) completed a Stevens sweep of the next two spots. Matheson added a runner-up finish in the 200 individual medley (2:19.86) with Fitzharris (2:26.29) and Gupta (2:27.86) close behind.
Brunetti added a third-place swim in the 100 butterfly (1:01.24) and joined Gallo (1:02.50) and Bleckley (1:04.79) in the top five. Bleckley led the 100 backstroke contingent, placing second in 1:04.63, while Fitzharris (1:06.06) and
Sydney Lanager (1:08.45) followed closely behind.
Bertolotti (1:11.67) and Settle (1:12.88) went third and fourth, respectively, in the 100 breaststroke, with Gupta fifth in 1:18.00. Fitzharris placed third in the 200 backstroke (2:22.32), just ahead of Tyer (2:23.54) and Lanager (2:26.63). Dvorkin earned her second runner-up finish of the evening with a 5:30.26 in the 500 freestyle to close out the individual events. The foursome of Kiss, Brunetti, Gallo, and Klaus finished the night with a second place time of 3:46.24 in the 400-free relay.
