Women's Soccer Collects Two Major MAC Freedom Year-End Awards

Eight Ducks Named All-Conference; Five Selected First Team

Newtown, Pa. – Offensive Player of the Year Alana Odom and Coaching Staff of the Year were the major honors distributed to the Stevens Institute of Technology women's soccer team on Wednesday during the MAC Freedom's year-end All-Conference reveal.

Odom was one of five Ducks named First Team All-Conference and one of eight Ducks named all-conference overall (all first or second team, more than any other MAC Freedom institution).
Odom was joined on the First Team by midfielders Angela Dinh & Molly McCann, defender Taylor Truglia, and goalkeeper Kenny Donley. Forward Sophia Murphy, midfielder Abby Davis, and defender Kaitlyn Pettit comprised the Ducks' Second Team contingent.

Odom started her first season in Hoboken with just one goal and one assist in her first 10 appearances, but caught fire late, scoring seven goals, adding an assist, finishing tied for first in goals and second in points (15) during MAC Freedom play. Odom capped the regular season with back-to-back braces against DeSales and Delaware Valley.

For the second straight season, Dinh (All-MACF Honorable Mention last year) started every match, and led all field players this season in minutes, averaging more than 75 per match, including six-90 minute performances. Dinh's defensive efforts helped the Ducks hold six teams to three shots or fewer, all six registering one or zero shots on goal.

McCann averaged more than 80 minutes per match in her 16 regular season appearances (all starts) and, like Dinh, logging more than 1,300 minutes for the second straight season. Entering the season with no goals and a single shot attempt in 36 appearances, McCann took on a much more aggressive offensive role, scoring against TCNJ and Delaware Valley, finishing the regular season with 15 shots, eight of them on goal.

Truglia missed the first two matches of the year to injury, but made her presence felt throughout the year. Truglia played the full 90 eight times, limiting the opposition to nine goals in 16 regular season appearances, with seven shutouts – including four straight in MAC Freedom play.

Donley earns her second All-Conference honor (2023 Honorable Mention) after arguably her finest season as a Duck, setting personal bests in goals-against average and save percentage. She began the year with an eight-save performance in a draw with pre-season Top 10 Claremont-Mudd-Scripps, then capped the regular season with a shutout streak that reached more than 370 minutes of match time.

Murphy followed a six-goal, 13 point first-year campaign with a four-goal, four-assist 2025, including three-point performances against Springfield and Arcadia. She also scored in a 1-all draw with Montclair State and notched the lone goal of the match in a conference win over FDU-Florham.

Davis logged fewer than 1,000 minutes during the season -- less than 60 minutes per match --, but made that time count, scoring twice and distributing four assists, good for fifth on the team with eight points. The first-year assisted on the first two goals in a 3-2 win over Springfield and the tying goal against Drew, then notched a brace against Arcadia.

Pettit was another fundamental defensive midfield piece, starting all but one match during the year, playing the full 90 in four contests, helping the Ducks' outstanding team defense.

The Ducks, the two-seed in the conference tournament, knocked off the top-seed Misericordia 3-0 last Saturday in the Championship Match, earning a spot in the NCAA Tournament, where they will face Virginia Wesleyan on the campus of Johns Hopkins this Saturday at 7:30 PM. Ticket, live video, and live stat links will be posted to StevensDucks.com as they're made available.
