Lexington, Ky. – Stevens Institute of Technology women's volleyball senior middle hitter Vivian Lisboa earned a second straight American Volleyball Coaches Association (AVCA) All-Region First Team selection, as announced by the organization on Wednesday.
Lisboa, who was named to the All-MAC Freedom First Team on Monday, (her third straight All-Conference selection) helped lead the Ducks to a sixth straight MAC Freedom Championship last weekend.
The Beaumont, California native put together a strong season in multiple statistical metrics. She totaled 95 total blocks (second in the conference), recorded more than 0.5 service aces per set (third in the conference), hit over .320 for the year and over .400 in conference play (both top three among all conference players), helping the Ducks as a team lead the conference in kills, hitting percentage, blocks per set, and service aces per set.
She also surpassed 1,000 points and became just the seventh player in program history with at least 300 total blocks. Six times, she recorded at least five kills and five blocks in a match, including a nine-kill, seven-block effort in the MAC Freedom Championship against Misericordia, helping her take home Tournament Most Valuable Player honors.
Lisboa and the Ducks earned the MAC Freedom automatic bid to the NCAA Tournament, where Stevens opens play Thursday night at 7:00 PM against Carnegie Mellon.
