New York, N.Y. – The Stevens Institute of Technology women's swimming team claimed second place at the 2025 NYU Invitational Saturday, finishing the event with 293 points.
The Ducks finished the two-day competition ahead of third-place Drew (97 points) and behind the host Violets (650 points).
HOW IT HAPPENED
Abigail Rosingana registered the lone individual Top-4 finish in the 1,650-yard freestyle, touching in 19:13.91.
The 800-yard freestyle relay team of
Eszter Kiss,
Julia McKinley,
Samantha Gallo, and
Delaney Klaus finished fifth, less than three seconds off another top-four finish; McKinley also finished one spot back of Rosingana in the 1,650 free, finishing in 19:33.98.
Other top results throughout the day included sixth-place finishes in the 400-yard individual medley (
Gabby Tyer, 4:56.15), Klaus (200-yard freestyle, 2:01.50), 200-yard backstroke (Tyer, 2:23.64), and 200-yard butterfly (
Natalia Brunetti, 2:14.85).
UP NEXT
The Ducks face Montclair State next Friday, November 14, with the meet scheduled to commence at 6:00 PM.
