HOW IT HAPPENED

Jonathan Nsenkyire three-pointer stopped a 10-0 Garnet Chargers run;
Tommy Scholl had five of the Ducks' first seven, with
Harmehar Chhabra adding a layup.
Nsenkyire's three started an extended 17-8 run that pulled Stevens back within three, 27-24; Scholl,
Peter Gray, and
Matt Leming (twice) made four straight three-pointers during the spurt (after the team started 2-for-7) had three-pointers during the spurt, with
Kyle Maddison capping things with a deep stepback jumper.
Union (7-2) pushed the lead back to five on a pair of occasions, but the Ducks came back to tie in the final 90 seconds thanks to a Chhabra layup and two free throws + a three-pointer from Scholl. Union added a late layup for a 35-33 lead at the half, with the Ducks finishing the opening 20 shooting 43.8 percent (7-for-16) from beyond the arc, while holding Union to just a 22.2 percent clip (2-for-9).
