West Point, N.Y. –
Maggie Previglian tied the national-leading mark in the high jump during an action-packed final day for the Stevens Institute of Technology women's track & field team at the Army West Point-hosted Crowell (Indoor) Invitational on Saturday.
The two-day, Army West Point-hosted event featured no team scoring and included D-I and D-III competition including Manhattan, Siena, Vassar, Merchant Marine, and others.
HOW IT HAPPENED
Previglian's clearance at 1.67 meters, good for second in the event (Zoe Whaley of Army West Point was first), was nearly one-tenth of a meter higher than her previous personal best of 1.58 set nearly a year ago to the day (December 7), and bumped her into third place on the program's all-time leaderboard.
Maya Lapinski cleared 1.47 in the event, tying for fifth. Lapinski also leapt 4.69 meters in the long jump, good for eighth overall and third among non D-I competitors.
In the mile run, first-year
