Collegeville, Pa. – The 4x400 meter relay team of
Anya Sadowski,
Lauren Alley,
Isabel Vogel, and
Isabella Shanley smashed the program record, highlighting Day 1 of competition for the Stevens Institute of Technology women's track and field team at the All-Atlantic Region Outdoor Championships (AARTFC) on Wednesday.
The team finished the day with five points, sitting in a tie for 15
th. Misericordia led the field with 24 points, five clear of both Rochester and King's.

The 4x400 squad ran 3:57.16, more than two seconds faster than the previous school record of 3:59.61 set in April of 2022, and more than two seconds faster than the time the quartet ran at AARTFC Indoor Championships two months ago (3:59.21).
Maya Lapinski went 5.58 meters in the long jump to secure fifth in the event – the distance marked a PR for the junior, who solidified her third-place standing all-time in outdoor program history.

Kaitlyn Adams finished eighth in the 3,000-meter steeplechase, securing the final point of the day for the Ducks. Adams was 10
th just past the midway point and was still in ninth with 400 meters to go but ran the second-fastest split down the stretch to make the podium.
