YORK, Pa. – Holding a 132.5-point lead on the field entering the day, the Stevens Institute of Technology women's swimming team increased its lead by nearly 100 points on Day Two at the 2025 Middle Atlantic Conference (MAC) Championships, hosted by York College of Pennsylvania.
The Ducks enter the weekend with 857.5 points, 217.5 points clear of Misericordia. Messiah (552) and Widener (471.5) are the only other teams who've broken 400 points thus far.
The 200-yard freestyle relay team of
Eszter Kiss,
Kai Wong,
Natalia Brunetti, and
Delaney Klaus got Stevens started strong, winning by nearly two full seconds and picking up 64 points.
The trio of
Hanna Matheson,
Gabby Tyer, and
Dora Dvorkin went 2-3-4 in the 400-yard individual medley 'A' final, totaling 81 points between them;
Gabby Sokolik touched first in the 'B' final, adding 20 more.
Brunetti and Klaus went 1-2 in the 100-yard butterfly 'A' final, putting 60 more points on the board for the Red and Gray.
Ashley Settle posted her two best times of the season between the prelims and final, adding another 23 points, and
Paige Bleckley rounded the 'A' finalists for Stevens, earning 22.
Melissa Misurelli knocked more than a second off her best time of the year in the prelims, then knocked
another second off her prelim time in the 'B' final, touching first and grabbing 20 points.
Kiss took the top spot in the 200 freestyle 'A' final, cutting nearly three seconds from her fastest swim of the season coming into the event.
Kylie Martinez and
Julia McKinley also posted their fastest times of the season, touching in sixth and seventh. The trio's collective efforts were good for 79 points.
Up Next: Champions will be crowned on Saturday in the 200 butterfly, 100 backstroke, 100 breaststroke, and 800 freestyle relay. Prelims begin at 9:30 a.m., and finals will begin at 5:30 p.m.
