Men's Tennis Clipped by Salisbury, 4-3

Salisbury, Md. – The Stevens Institute of Technology men's tennis team was clipped by Salisbury University 4-3 in their spring season opener on Saturday afternoon.

HOW IT HAPPENED
The Sea Gulls took a 1-0 advantage after doubles, claiming all three doubles bouts. The top duo of Vivek Harinarayan and Olof Persson were edged 7-5 by their foes as Max-William Kanz and Samvid Andhare fell 6-3 at No. 2. Rounding the doubles lineup was Matt Luzzi and Mihir Parcha, who were knocked off 6-0.

Kanz had a convincing victory at the No. 2 spot, knocking Jhayden Pappas 6-1, 6-1 as Parcha took down Gianluca Beaujon 7-5, 6-1 at No. 4. After dropping his first set 7-5, Persson rebounded with a 6-2 win in set two. He completed the comeback, earning a 6-4 victory in the third set to finish the wins for Stevens. Aidan Miller forced a third set at No. 5 singles but was knocked off 6-3, 5-7, 6-1.
