HOW IT HAPPENED
The No. 1 doubles team of Vivek Harinarayan and Olof Persson cruised to a 6-1, conceding their only game at 5-0. Max-William Kanz and Samvid Andhare led 4-3 at No. 2, but conceded four of the final five games to the Shoremen, leaving the fate of the doubles point in the hands of the No. 3 match. The pair of Matthew Luzzi and Mihir Parcha never trailed in their match, pulling away late for a 6-3 win, putting the Ducks up 1-0.
 
Kanz and Johnny Haase each posted 6-2, 6-0 wins at No. 1 and No. 6 singles. After taking a back and forth first set 6-4 at No. 2, Parcha won the first four games of the second set, putting the match away 6-3. Dhaivik Chenemilla rallied from down 2-4 in the first set for a 6-4 win at No. 5, then won the final six games in the second set after dropping the first. Andhare dropped just three games at No. 3, and, in the lone three set match of the day, Aidan Miller took the first, dropped the second, then took the 10-point tiebreaker for the Ducks' sixth and final point of the day,
