YORK, Pa. – The Stevens Institute of Technology women's swimming team inched closer to a conference title with another strong day in the pool on Day Three of the 2025 Middle Atlantic Conference (MAC) Championships on Saturday.
The Ducks will enter the enter the final day of competition with a 386.5-point lead over Messiah and 429.5-point lead on Misericordia, the only schools within 500 points of the Red and Gray.
The team's big Saturday started in the 200-yard butterfly 'A' final, where
Natalia Brunetti posted a conference-record 2:06.37, leading a quartet of Ducks in the event,
Hanna Matheson,
Gabby Tyer,
Melissa Misurelli finishing third, fourth, and seventh, respectively.
Paige Bleckley gave the Ducks five of the race's top 10 performers, touching second in the 'B' final, as the team amassed 126 points for the quintet's efforts.
Kai Wong led a 78-point effort in the 100-yard backstroke 'A' finals, taking third, just ahead of
Rachel Merrifield in fourth and
Sophie Patz in fifth.
In the 100-yard breaststroke, the 'A' final trio of
Adriana Bertolotti (3
rd),
Emery Fitzharris (5
th), and
Ashley Settle (6
th), as well as 'B' final runner-up
Eszter Kiss collected 93 more points.
The 800-yard freestyle relay team of
Julia McKinley-
Gabby Tyer,
Gabby Sokolik, and
Kylie Martinez claimed 52 more points to close out the evening, touching fourth.
Up Next: The 2025 Men's and Women's MAC Swimming Champions will be crowned following tomorrow's finals in the 100-yard freestyle, 200-yard backstroke, 200-yard breaststroke, and 1650-yard freestyle.
