Reading, Pa. – The Stevens Institute of Technology men's track & field team had the distance medley relay team finish third to highlight top marks during the first day of the Middle Atlantic Conference Indoor Track & Field Championships on Friday.
The Ducks have 12 points, good for seventh place. Lebanon Valley leads with 44 points, while Widener (36 points) and Misericordia (31 points) round out the top three.
HOW IT HAPPENED
The DMR team of
Jake Aylmer,
Mick Barbi,
Enrico Parrella, and
Ryan Paradine secured a third-place finish with a time of 10:31.77. In the 5,000-meter run,
Liam Concannon placed seventh in 15:30.81, followed by
Jake Porco (11th, 15:41.28),
Bryan Onody (13th, 15:49.12),
Cillian Griffin (20th, 16:18.65), and Joseph Ruben (22nd, 16:20.13).
Kyle Miller cleared 3.95m in the pole vault to place ninth, while
Andrew Anantharajah finished 10th at 3.85m, followed by
Michael Dao (16th, 3.77m).
Cooper Kinsley led the team in the weight throw with a 16th-place finish at 13.28m, while Emmanuel Vega placed 22nd at 11.99m.
Kiefer delivered a strong performance in the heptathlon, placing third through four events with 2,573 points.
Connor Efinger sits ninth through four events with 2,231 points, while
Calvin Gibson (11th, 2,058 points) and
James Johnson (12th, 2,042 points) followed closely behind. In the 60-meter dash,
Tyler Hackett clocked in at 7.2 for 19th place, while Douglas Winant finished 20th in 7.21.
