Spellman Named All-Region & All-District

Hoboken, N.J. – Senior Jack Spellman of the Stevens Institute of Technology men's basketball team was named to the NABC All-District 4 Second Team and D3hoops.com All-Region IV Second Team on Tuesday afternoon.

Spellman earned Second Team honors from the NABC for the second consecutive year and was one of three Middle Atlantic Conference Freedom (MAC Freedom) student-athletes selected, joining Kevin Lazdowsky of Misericordia and Antonio Redding of Delaware Valley. Additionally, this is the third consecutive season Spellman was recognized by the D3hoops.com on their Second Team for All-Region.

The senior recently capped off an impressive four-year career by reaching a rare triple milestone: 1,000 points, 1,000 rebounds, and 300 blocks—an achievement accomplished by only seven known players in NCAA Division III history. This past season, Spellman averaged a double-double for the third time in his Stevens career, posting 11.6 points and a career-high 12.8 rebounds per game. His stellar play earned him All-MAC Freedom First Team honors, as well as MAC Freedom Defensive Player of the Year recognition for the third consecutive season. Spellman played a pivotal role in leading the Ducks to their third conference championship game appearance in the last four years.

Off the court, Spellman has been equally impressive in the classroom, maintaining a 3.66 GPA. He has been named to the MAC Honor Roll four times, earned Dean's List recognition six times, and received College Sports Communicators Academic All-District honors. Beyond academics, he has also been active in the community, volunteering with members of the Stevens men's basketball team at the Hoboken Shelter and the Hoboken Boys and Girls Club.
