Men's Tennis Comes From Behind To Top No. 38 Franklin & Marshall

Lancaster, Pa. – The Stevens Institute of Technology men's tennis team clipped No. 38 Franklin & Marshall College 4-3 on Sunday afternoon.

HOW IT HAPPENED
The Ducks had to rally after surrendering the doubles point. They were knocked off at all three flights, with Vivek Harinaryan and Matt Luzzi getting clipped 7-5 at the No. 2 flight. Olof Persson and Max-William Kanz were knocked off 6-3 at the No. 1 flight as Mihir Parcha and Samvid Andhare were tripped up 6-2 at No. 3.

Kanz got the Ducks comeback started with a 6-0, 6-2 win at the top of the singles lineup before Harinarayan won 6-2, 6-4 at No. 2. Aidan Miller dropped the first frame 6-3 before rebounding with a 6-4 triumph in the second stanza. Miller dominated the third-set tiebreak, cruising to a 6-0 win. 

After the Diplomats notched a 6-2, 6-1 at No. 4 singles, Matt Luzzi sealed the Stevens victory with a thrilling three-set victory at No. 3. Luzzi dropped the first set 6-3 but bounced back over the next two. He won the second one 6-2 before notching a 6-4 victory in the third set. F&M concluded the match with a three-set win at No. 6 but could not get any closer.

The Ducks return to action on Friday as they host Haverford College at 3 pm at the Bayonne Tennis Courts in Bayonne, NJ.
