Ewing, N.J. – The Stevens Institute of Technology men's track & field turned in top marks on the final day of the TCNJ Invite & Multi on Saturday.
No team score was recorded, and Stevens competed against MAC foes Arcadia, FDU-Florham, Eastern, and Widener while also seeing Ithaca and TCNJ amongst others.
HOW IT HAPPENED
In the 1500 meters, Daniel Jutras led the way with a runner-up finish in 4:03.97, just ahead of
Jake Aylmer, who crossed third in 4:04.29.
Ryan Paradine placed tenth in 4:09.09, followed by
Mick Barbi in twelfth with a personal best 4:09.90. In the 100 meters final, Douglas Winant sprinted to third place in a personal best 11.10 seconds after qualifying sixth in prelims with a time of 11.17.
Tyler Hackett also made the final with a personal best 11.20 in prelims and finished seventh overall.
Joseph Perriello had a strong showing in the 110 meter hurdles, placing fourth in 16.44 after qualifying fifth in prelims.
In the 800 meters,
Kevin Medrow clocked 2:04.99 for tenth place. Joseph Ruben and
Luke Giangrande also competed, finishing twenty-seventh and thirty-first, respectively. In the 400 meters,
William Ladd posted a time of 54.88. In the sprints,
Rai Bindra finished tenth in the unseeded 100 meters in 12.38, and
Brian Ong ran a season best 12.70. Bindra also ran 24.60 in the 200 meters to place thirty-eighth.
On the field, Christopher Persico vaulted 3.85 meters (12-07.50) to take third in the pole vault, and
Michael Dao cleared 3.55 meters (11-07.75) for seventh. In the high jump,
Bruno Santana-Ferro placed fourth after clearing 1.69 meters (5-06.50).
Joseph Perriello finished sixth in the long jump with a leap of 6.25 meters (20-06.25), while
Justin Gajewski earned ninth in the triple jump at 11.53 meters (37-10.00). In the throws,
Brandon Fox placed sixteenth in the discus with a mark of 34.06 meters (111-09), while
Cooper Kinsley threw 30.73 meters (100-10) to take twenty-second. In the shot put, Kinsley was seventeenth with a mark of 11.31 meters (37-01.25), and
Manny Vega followed in twentieth at 10.65 meters (34-11.25).
