BALTIMORE, Md. – The No. 39 Stevens Institute of Technology men's tennis team suffered a 6-1 defeat at the hands of No. 14 Johns Hopkins on Sunday afternoon.
HOW IT HAPPENED
The Blue Jays swept all three doubles matches to secure the early point, with the Ducks' No. 2 team of
Aidan Miller and
Samvid Andhare putting up the strongest fight, falling 6-3.
In singles action, Miller produced the Ducks' lone victory of the afternoon at No. 3. After dropping the first set, the first-year survived a second-set tiebreaker, then came out on top in the 10-point tiebreaker.
Andhare took the first set of his match at No. 2, but dropped the second, then the 10-point tiebreak.
Mihir Parcha was topped at No. 4 6-3, 6-4;
Noah Pe went to a tiebreaker in the first set at No. 5 before a 6-1 second set defeat.
