Men's Lacrosse Knocks Off Arcadia On Senior Day

Hoboken, N.J. – The No. 8 Stevens Institute of Technology men's lacrosse team remained unbeaten in Middle Atlantic Conference Freedom play, defeating Arcadia University 14-6 on Saturday afternoon at the DeBaun Athletic Complex.

Tommy Robertozzi led the way for the Ducks (11-3, 5-0 MAC Freedom) with five goals and two assists. Kyle McLaughlin dished out two assists for the Knights (10-5, 4-1 MAC Freedom).

HOW IT HAPPENED
After a solid defensive stand, Shea Grant opened the scoring at 12:36 with his 17th goal of the season. Finlay MacKnight followed with a strike at 10:26 to give Stevens a 2–0 lead. The Ducks' defense, anchored by Aidan Long—who caused two key turnovers—kept Arcadia in check early. Adam DeCristofaro pushed the lead to 3–1 late in the quarter off a feed from Robertozzi. Goalie Cooper Foote was sharp, making four saves in the frame, including a critical stop while man-down.

Stevens extended the momentum in the second quarter with a man-up goal from Robertozzi at 12:35, assisted by Grant. Robertozzi added another at 8:45, increasing his season total to 32. Grant capped the half with his second goal at the 10-second mark off an assist from Matthew Pergola, giving Stevens a 6–2 lead at the break. On defense, Dominic Piselli and Danny D'Angelo applied pressure through caused turnovers, while Foote added multiple saves to maintain the advantage.

The Ducks struck quickly in the third, as MacKnight netted his second of the day just 54 seconds in off a feed from Joseph Grippo. Following a series of failed clears by the Knights, Pergola scored at 7:05 on another assist from Robertozzi. DeCristofaro tallied again at 5:17, assisted by MacKnight, as Stevens continued to spread the offense. Robertozzi completed his hat trick just before the horn, scoring off a pass from Luke Cifuentes to give Stevens a 10–2 cushion heading into the fourth.

Arcadia opened the final period with a goal, but Stevens quickly answered. Robertozzi scored his fourth at 14:20 off an assist from Hudson Rocheville, and added his fifth just minutes later on a feed from Blake Creamer. Stevens made a goalie switch to Quinton Smith after building a 12–3 lead. Though Arcadia added a few more goals late, the Ducks maintained control, closing out the game behind efficient clears and consistent pressure on both ends.
