LOUISVILLE, Ky. – Stevens Institute of Technology men's volleyball senior
Koby Sherman was named Division III First Team All-American by the American Volleyball Coaches Association (AVCA) announced Monday.
This marks Sherman's second career All-America (2024) and is the latest addition to his postseason awards haul that already includes AVCA All-Region and Middle Atlantic Conference (MAC) Player of the Year recognition.
Sherman finished his career with 1,184 kills, 388 digs, 197 total blocks, and 106 service aces. The Sunnyvale, Calif. native finished this season with 301 kills, his third 300+-kill season as a Duck, in just 80 total sets, good for 3.76 kills per set, his best single-season total during his time in Hoboken. The outside hitter committed just 93 errors on 620 total swings, good for a .335 hitting percentage – also a single-season best during his time as a Duck. Sherman also added a fourth straight MAC Tournament Most Valuable Player honor after totaling 36 kills against Stevenson and Messiah in the MAC Semifinal and Final.
The outside hitter capped his career with his third collegiate double-double against Nichols in the NCAA Championship with 18 kills and a career-best 14 digs.
As a team, Stevens finished the season 25-5 including a perfect 8-0 in conference play, running their MAC winning streak to 38 consecutive games since the start of the 2022 campaign.
The 2025 All-America selections were made by the AVCA Men's Division III Volleyball All-America Committee.
