SPARKS, Md. – Stevens Institute of Technology men's lacrosse players Luke Lesizza, Matt Pergola, and Jackson Penn have been named USA Lacrosse Division III Preseason All-Americans ahead of the 2026 season.

Senior Lesizza was selected to the Third Team, while fellow senior Pergola and junior Penn were tabbed Honorable Mention.

Preseason All-America for a second straight season and two-time reigning MAC Freedom Defenseman of the Year, Lesizza averaged just under two caused turnovers and slightly more than two ground balls per game in 2025. The Fairfield, Conn. Native forced at least two turnovers in 12 games and recorded 10 games with at least two ground balls and two caused turnovers. He finished the season with 43 ground balls and 32 caused turnovers, surpassing 100 career caused turnovers in the process, moving within striking distance of the career program record.

Twice a USILA All-American and three times MAC Freedom Attackman of the Year, Pergola delivered his third consecutive 50-goal season in 2025, finishing with 55 goals and a career-high 25 assists. The Nutley, N.J. native recorded 10 hat tricks over the team's first 18 games, including four straight to open conference play.  In the MAC Freedom Semifinals win over Misericordia, he posted a season-high nine points, netting five goals and dishing out four assists. Pergola finished last season with 183 goals and 245 points, both marks within striking distance of the career program records in each.

Following a 2024 campaign where he won 67 percent of his face-offs, Penn transitioned more to a midfield role in the latter parts of the 2025 season, showing his ability as another piece in a vaunted Stevens offensive unit. Penn took only 39 shots during the season, but 22 of them went on-target and 11 found the net, nine of them coming against MAC Freedom competition (regular season and conference tournament), including a seven-game stretch with seven goals and three assists.

Once again the unanimous favorite in the MAC Freedom Preseason Coaches Poll, Lesizza, Pergola, Penn and the rest of the Ducks' quest for another MAC Freedom Championship begins Saturday, February 14 against last year's national runner-up, Dickinson.
