Lewisburg, Pa. – Senior Stephanie Ryazanova of the Stevens Institute of Technology women's track & field team placed ninth in the pentathlon at the Bison Challenge, hosted by Bucknell University, on Friday.

Ryazanova totaled 2,471 points, competing against athletes from Division I Bucknell, Division II Millersville, and MAC foe Delaware Valley.

HOW IT HAPPENED
Ryazanova posted her top performance in the long jump, placing second with a leap of 4.88 meters. She opened the event with a mark of 4.75 meters before reaching her top distance on her second attempt. The senior closed with a 4.82-meter effort.

She finished eighth in the 60-meter hurdles with a time of 10.15 seconds, placed 11th in the high jump (1.32 meters), and took 15th in the shot put (6.16 meters). Ryazanova capped her day by placing eighth in the 800-meter run with a personal-best time of 2:41.90.
