HOW IT HAPPENED
Labartino assisted on the first goal of the game (Pergola) and scored the second, putting the Ducks up 2-0 in the first 3:10. DeCristofaro and Ryan (again from Labartino) kept the Ducks in front 4-2 at the end of one.
The Pride struck first in the second, but Stevens struck second, third, fourth, and fifth. Pergola and Tenaglia scored just over 30 seconds apart, quickly pushing the advantage tp 6-3.
Lucas Long and Conor Moore each tacked on their first goals of the season (Long scoring the first of his career), as the Ducks went to the locker room up 8-3.
As was the case in the second quarter, Springfield scored first in the third quarter, adding a second to trim the deficit to 8-5, but again Stevens, more specifically Tenaglia, responded, as the Oradell, NJ native scored three straight, keeping the Ducks comfortably in front, 11-6 heading to the fourth.
