West Point, N.Y. -- The Stevens Institute of Technology women's track and field team picked up wins in the 5,000 meters and Top-3 finishes in the 800 meters, the 3,000 meters, and the mile on Saturday at the West Point Tune Up, the team's final event before MAC Indoor Championships.
Catherine Bondi crossed the line first in the 5,000, posting a time of 21:27.70.
In the 3,000 meters,
Kaitlyn Adams finished second after running 10:44.13, a PR and the sixth-fastest time in program history, the first Duck under 10:50.00 since February of 2020.
Kate Cen clocked 2:33.56 for third place in the 800, the Top non-Division I finisher in the event, one spot ahead of
Emily Laudman, who ran 2:34.47. The two were 3
rd and 4
th, respectively, after 200, 400, and 600 meters as well.
Madeline Bender was third in the mile after running 5:37.54; the sophomore spent the first half of the race in fourth, moving into the Top 3 and staying there over the final 600 meters.
