Women's Swimming Take Top Spot in MAC Pre-Championship Poll

ANNVILLE, Pa. – The defending Middle Atlantic Conference (MAC) champion Stevens Institute of Technology women's swimming team received seven of 11 first-place votes, taking the top spot in the Pre-Championship poll as unveiled by the league office Monday.
 
In the annual vote among the league's 11 head coaches, Stevens amassed 91 points, finishing nine points clear of Misericordia and 10 points clear of Messiah, who split the four remaining first-place votes. York finished two points behind Messiah and a dozen points clear of Arcadia who rounded out the top five.

After finishing second in 2022, 2023, and 2024, the Ducks came out on top last season for the first time since 2020, finishing a whopping 483 points ahead of runner-up Messiah. The Ducks collected 18 medals, including eight victories, leading by more than 100 points after day one, more than 200 after day two, and more than 300 after day three in a dominant performance from start to finish.

The 2026 MAC Swimming Championships will take place at the Graham Aquatic Center Feb. 12-15 and will be hosted by York.
