Bayonne, N.J. – The No. 38 Stevens Institute of Technology men's tennis team fell to No. 37 Skidmore College 5-2 in non-conference action Sunday afternoon.
The Ducks dropped to 7-3 on the season.
HOW IT HAPPENED
Stevens trailed 1-0 after doubles, as Skidmore claimed two of the three flights.
Ian Batra and
Tristan Wroe secured the lone point with a 7-5 win at No. 3 doubles.
Renat Kramin and
Max-William Kanz were edged 7-6 at the top spot, while
Samvid Andhare and
Dhaivik Chenemilla fell 6-4 at No. 2.
In singles, Stevens picked up two victories. Andhare earned a 6-2, 6-2 win at No. 2, while Batra added a 6-3, 6-3 triumph at No. 3. Kanz battled at No. 1 singles, dropping the first set 6-4 before responding with a 7-6 win to force a third-set tiebreaker, where he was narrowly defeated 10-8. Wroe (No. 6), Chenemilla (No. 5), and Kramin (No. 4) each fell in straight sets.

The Ducks return to action on April 4, traveling to Swarthmore, Pa. for an 11:00 a.m. matchup against Swarthmore College.
