Annville, Pa. – The Stevens Institute of Technology women's outdoor track and field team was picked 6th in the Middle Atlantic Conference (MAC) Pre-Championship poll, the league office announced Thursday. The vote was conducted among the league's 16 head coaches.
Fourth place last year (just one point back of third), the Ducks finished just two points back of fifth place Messiah and fourth place DeSales in this year's poll. Despite winning last year's team title by more than 60 points, Widener came in second in this year's pre-championship poll, receiving 31 fewer points than Lebanon Valley, last year's runners-up. Misericordia finished third in the poll, six points back of Widener and seven points clear of DeSales.
