Grantham, Pa. – The Stevens Institute of Technology women's track & field team finished Day One of the Middle Atlantic Conference (MAC) Outdoor Championships in fifth place with 15.5 points..
The Ducks currently sit behind York (16.5 points), DeSales (18), Messiah (25), and King's (27).
HOW IT HAPPENED
Alexis Merola was the team's high finisher of the day, taking second in the pole vault, clearing 3.25 meters;
Stephanie Ryazanova PR'd with a 3.10 meter clearance, finishing 6
th in the event, further cementing her fourth place standing in program history in the event.
The 4x800-meter relay team of
Isabella Gabay,
Taylor Enes,
Anya Sadowski, and
Isabel Vogel clocked 9:42.93 for 4
th place, just 3.06 seconds back of third place. The time makes the quartet the sixth-fastest in program history in the event.
Anacarolina Ventura took ninth in the hammer throw with a PR of 40.04 meters, further solidifying her sixth place standing in program history in the event.
Elsewhere,
Catherine Bondi ran 44:18.40 in the 10,000 meters, finishing 14
th, less than a minute off a Top 10 all-time mark for the program.

Day Two of the MAC Outdoor Championships begins at 9:15 AM with events including but not limited to: high jump finals, long jump trials and finals, discus trials and finals, and 3,000-meter steeplechase finals.
