Grantham, Pa. – The Stevens Institute of Technology women's track & field team sits in fourth place with 37.5 points through the second of three days of competition at the Middle Atlantic Conference (MAC) Outdoor Championships.
The Ducks finished Friday trailing King's (42 points), DeSales (47), and Lebanon Valley (49), with five women securing podium finishes in four events.
HOW IT HAPPENED
Kaitlyn Adams broke her own school record in the 3,000-meter steeplechase, running 11:33.63, shaving more than a second off the old mark, finishing second in the event.
Maggie Previglian cleared 1.63 meters in the high jump, finishing third, and
Maya Lapinski joined her on the podium with an eighth-place finish after clearing 1.46 meters.
Lapinski also scored for the Ducks in the long jump, finishing in fourth after a top mark of 5.29 meters – Lapinski was actually one of two to reach that distance, with Lapinski reaching the mark with a slightly greater tailwind.
Anacarolina Ventura rounded out the team's podium finishers in the discus with a top toss of 34.05 meters, just .05 meters back of fifth place.

The third and final day commences tomorrow at 11:00 AM with finals in the following events: javelin, triple jump, shot put, 100 meters, 100 meter hurdles, 400 meters, 400 meter hurdles, 800 meters, 1500 meters, 5000 meters, and 4x400-meter relay.
