Chester, Pa. – Less than 72 hours from the start of All-Atlantic Region Outdoor Championships and less than two weeks out from NCAA Championships, the Stevens Institute of Technology men's track and field team partook in the Widener Final Qualifier on Monday, May 11.
No team scores were recorded and the Ducks competed against a myriad of D-I, D-II, and D-III institutions, including but not limited to: Villanova, George Mason, George Washington, VCU, Johns Hopkins, NYU, TCNJ, and Carnegie Mellon.
From The Track (And Field)
Four Ducks clocked under 2:00.00 in the 800 meters. School record holder
Danny Jutras led the group in 1:54.11;
Christopher Reyes ran 1:56.46 – a microscopic .04 seconds off a Top 10 time in program history;
Matthew Hodorowski ran 1:58.31;
Nelson VanMaaren ran 1:59.62.
Ryan Shibles ran 15:53.22 in the 5,000 meters, just ahead of
Joseph Ruben, who ran 16:11.57.
Caleb Stephen clocked 10:46.58 in the 3,000-meter steeplechase and
Justin Gajewski posted 12.73 meters in the triple jump

The Ducks head to Ursinus College in Collegeville, Pa. for the All-Atlantic Outdoor Regional Championships this Wednesday and Thursday, May 13 and 14.
